As Workrite sits poised to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2013, it’s hard not to think about what kind of heritage we’re creating. Anniversaries are an important and honorable milestone. Those milestones are only significant, however, when you can back up their value. What makes our 40th anniversary special?

Oxnard, Calif. – Workrite Uniform Company, Inc., a leading provider of flame-resistant (FR) workwear worldwide, has introduced a line of knits representing completely new styling in a leading-edge fabric, TenCate Tecasafe® Plus.
These knits are dual hazard, so they protect against both arc flash and flash fire. Workrite is having them certified to both NFPA 2112 and NFPA 1975, and they meet Hazard Risk Category 2 for NFPA 70E. Made from the first inherently knit product engineered to withstand the rigors of industrial laundering, these knits are geared toward both industrial and fire service customers.
The line integrates new styling from Workrite, with a more modern fit and key features such as longer tails, raglan sleeves on the t-shirts and high-low hems on the polo’s. In addition, Workrite’s dual-hazard knit shirts retain their strength, shape and color after repeated launderings. The FR protection is inherent and cannot be worn or washed away.
“These are the nicest FR knits we’ve seen in terms of comfort and after-wash color retention. They really set a new standard,” says Charlotte McGee, director of marketing for Workrite. “And with the ability to be industrial laundered, they are perfect for all our customers regardless of what type of FR program they are in.”
As with all Workrite garments, this line is protected by a one-year Workmanship Guarantee. The line features a long- and short-sleeved polo in navy blue and a long-sleeved t-shirt in heather gray. More colors and styles are being added.
